Paul's birthday party.

Cameron had some artwork on display last month. A mask she made was at the Niskayuna school district offices. Another drawing was in the Empire State Plaza main concourse.

Last Sunday for my brother's family birthday we visited the farm where he works in Petaluma, CA. His roosters have been relocated there because the neighbors complained about the crowing (imagine!). The rooster Beth is holding joined their flock about a week after Philip's and my wedding last summer and was named Brownsey.
Brownsey with one of his favorite hens. Brownsey has the frizzle gene that makes the feathers stick out in a crazy way. Intimidating to other roosters? Who knows.

Joel is back from Latin America so it must be time to make Sebring picks again. Cornelia was very adamant about Muscle Milk winning in P1 petrol, I don't know if it's because of SiPag or just milk.

It's springtime in California! Our apricot tree has flowers and the almonds throughout the central valley have already flowered and are leafing out.
Our little chicks are not so little anymore... They spent their first night outside in the chicken house on Friday and seem to like having more space to move around.
We came down to Petaluma for my brother's 30th birthday celebration last night and left the chickens at home by themselves so when we get back to Red Bluff today we will see if the chicken house is truly predator-proof!

Nine days old now, the chicks had their first play time outside. They seemed to enjoy the nice weather.
Welcome to March. I love February, but I thought "leap day" the 29th, was a real let down. I understand the science behind it and it does get the job done, but it doesn't feel like an extra day.

Now, if we had 2 Tuesdays this week, that would have been memorable. Fasure* something to talk about.

*I'm reading a bad scifi book and the people 150 years in the future use the word "fasure" all the time.
