There was an article in the Times Union on Dec. 22 about the Saratoga-North Creek Railroad. The railroad wants to reopen the tracks from North Creek to Tahawus. The railraod wants to use the tracks to ship "tailings" leftover from the mining that are currently being shipped out by truck. Some clown group called "Protect the Adirondacks" is trying to stop them. The land the tracks pass through are now designated forever wild.
