The California 8 Hours of the International GT Challenge series, along with the support races offered some good racing. The World-Challenge TC and the Mazda MX5 Cup races were particularly good.
Some commentators suggested the SRO pitstop rules were weird (minimum stop time), but I don't think they are any different than ChumpCar and certainly less weird/more fair than the bizarre "wave-by" procedures that are used by some series. WRT and Land intentionally violated the minimum time and took drive through penalties as the first offense penalty was less time than the minimum time, but they still weren't able to beat Magnus (who were told by Audi that the other Audi teams were going to do this, but opted not to take the risk. Second offenses were stop and hold penalties).
Hiking from the campground to the Corkscrew along the Rahal Straight.
Believing in orange.
Lunch time.
Some cars on display in the paddock. The Team Land guys invited Silas and I into their garage on Friday.
We had a racing break with a trip to the Monterey Aquarium.
We also saw some wildlife at the track.
Some of us were really tired at the end of the weekend.

I would expect all not some were tired
Looks like fun.
Chumpcar holds you at pit exit until minimum pit duration is met. Also, we were paddocked next to the same Starworks trailer used by Land at Daytona.
Also: Lime Rock 2006, last race of the P1 R8
Eversley says that he/little Al/JFC Racing will be missing Thunderhill this year but JFC Racing bought one of the Lola LMP2 chassis from Mazda and will be putting in a twin-turbo V8 with a planned return in 2018. Because I guess being the fastest car on track isn't fast enough. Long live Lola!
3rd time that trailer has made it onto the blog

Daytona-2017
Is that the same one that was stolen and found in the Everglades with slashed tires?
