Camp Picture
Updated camp picture
Peter and Donnie here. Both pretty upset. Went to Haymarket, saw cheap produce, goat heads, still $5 each. Went to Northend ate food. Went to movie because it was snowing hard and cold and wet. "Capote". Then went to Abe & Louie's for good meat to eat. Then dropped them off for bed. Mom brought a pie but it's still in the car. Going to Cambridge tomorrow to see all the freaks over there.

Cameron enjoying the sights and sounds of a tractor pull.

Hi Kate. I guess I will see you friday. Hope Atlanta is warmer than here.
Friday is black day for those of you on the outskirts. I guess we are going with a halloween theme. So far it has been a quiet week in the land of corn and high taxes. Oliver says is it snowing yet?

Noah
In Atlanta. Got Play-Doh. Miss my family. Hope everyone is good.
Wondering if Joel had any surprise visits during the night from the children.

rainy day at limerock
Yes, we cancelled our trip to Boston to harrass Paul, oops I mean visit Paul. Not only was there too much rain for walking around the city, but the hotel was an extra 90 dollars because it was the "Head of the Charles".

So, we are up at camp all cozy with the woodstove going and we are trying to finish the other half of the basement floor.

I thought the house we looked at seemed very nice and livable, except the kitchen needs a redo and it would have been nice if there was a second shower upstairs.

Jonathan scored two goals today. His game was at nine so it still was about 35 degrees. We went apple picking later; and Christine made apple crisp. I finished the new shed door and took the kids for a walk.

We get rain tomorrow.

Chris
I took cameron to dance class this morning she had a good time. Mom, Dad, Kate and Oliver went and looked at a house for sale on our road. It is a nice big old house with almost an acre and 4 bedrooms. It sounds like Kate is not as interested in it as she was the first time she saw it. It is cold and wet here today. Mom and Dad left for camp in the morning. I have been getting a bunch of stuff done around the house.
If anybody is interested go to www.receng.com or look at ebay auctions for user name recengltd. The vintage snowmobile market bubble may be bursting right now. I actually was sent a color flyer in the mail advertising this auction with photos of about 30 of the sleds.

The pool cover. Let Joel know I hope he feels better.

Chris

I took the day off to join Megan on a field trip to Pumpkin Valley Farm. The kids went on a hay ride and went through a small corm maze (the adult maze takes over 3 hours to get through). As you can see Magan had a great time. Christine went on Jonathan's field trip to Saco Beach state park. It was a very nice day here. Jonathan has soccer at 9 am tomorrow.

I am very sorry to have to report that Joel is home sick today. He is sleeping on the couch at this very moment. Do we want to start "The Blame Game" or shall we take the high road and say it is just one of those things?

The Rhinebeck Sheep and Wool Festival was swell- an amazing amount of stuff to see.Lots of animals- sheep, llamas, alpacas, angora rabbits, goats and shetland sheep dogs. There were all kinds of signs about hand washing, if you pet one kind of animal you were supposed to wash before petting a different kind (usually in a different building) They were trying to prevent cross contamination between species.

You could purchase farm supplies, bags of wool right off the sheep, loose combed and dyed wool, yarn, finished knit things and lots of spinning wheels, but I didn't. Oh, and there was a wine and cheese tasting tent. But, no Red Newt, I looked.

It looks like Joe Torre is going to manage the Yankees at least one more year. After a meeting with George Steinbrenner in Tampa yesterday both sides said he is staying. They need to hire a pitching coach, and maybe a bench coach. the is a good chance Joe Girardi will be hired to manage the Devil Rays.
Just so everyone knows friday is orange day. Don't forget.
Mom would like some comments on her basement floor paint job.

Kate and I got back form the wedding late last night. Drove 300 miles in the rain. The wedding was as nice as it could be. Mom, Dad, Joel, and Beth did a tag team babysitting for us. Cameron had dance class this morning. Dad and Joel came over for pizza for dinner because Mom was up to no good. Kate is going to the strides against breast cancer event early tomorrow morning. I see everybody gets a look at Mom's basement floor, any comments? Tonight we are watching some movie on disney channel. The weather was nice today for the first time in quite a while.
The photos are from out crannberry picking trip last weekend at camp with dad, Paul, and Cindy.

Happy Birthday Phil. Hope everything is good out west. We in the northeast have had a miserable wet week. Looks like a wet weekend too. Kate and I have a wedding in new Jersey to go to friday night. I hope nobody mistook Mom for a senior member today. Me and the kids stopped by and visited Mom and the two Carols cooking for the lunch yesterday. They had a fire truck visit the nursey school on wednesday. Tomorrow is Blue day.

Noah
Trying again to say Happy Birthday Phil, and hello to Rachel, also.

The senior members luncheon was today and all went well. We had members of the youth group help with serving and cleaning up. Got to see Becky Freligh and the 3 DeBlock girls, they are all very grown up. Becky and Alex are seniors. And we used the new kitchen which is very nice, A little smaller than before but it has a big walk-in pantry. The new commercial dishwasher is being delivered tomorrow! It is the size of a home dishwasher, but cleans a full load every 75 seconds.

We did almost run out of pie, luckily a few people only wanted the ice cream and Scott had to do without. so we were alright.

Mom
Happy birthday Philip. Enjoy your day.

Attack star fish, August 2005.
Its good to hear from everyone at Stillwater. We have had over 6 inches of rain since Friday night here. Today's project was to clean Jonathan's room. It took three of us over 2 hours.

Normally the leaves would be past here but are not even close yet.

Next time I get firewood Cameron and Oliver are invited to help.

Chris
We are having a nice weekend up in Stillwater. The weather is cool but nice. Cameron, Oliver Kate, Paul , Cindy, Grandpa, and I (noah) went to an island by boat and picked 14 quarts of cranberries. Terry stopped by with a load of firewood that Cameron and Oliver helped unload. Mom's painted basement floor was done in typical Mom style, it has to be seen. the leaves are past peak here already, bu they were at peak in Indian Lake. We have been trying to find the results of the Syracuse DIRT week but it look slike it is in rain delay right now. The grass in the yard has come in well.

I went to pick Cameron up from nursery school today. They had a visitor there that I hadn't seen in a very long time. Mrs Lois our old nursery school teacher was in town and stopped in to see how the kids were doing. We talked for a bit and I gave her a brief update on where all her students were. She was surprised at how much of the toys and playground equipment had survived all these years.
Cameron has dance class saturday morning and then we are headed up to camp brownsey for the weekend.
Ken Miller stopped by to look at "norm" the '87 MX with his son last saturday. He is going to buy it for his son to ride.

Dad and I finished half the basement floor and it is a thing of beauty. I suggested we could go into the garage and basement cement floor finishing business and create unique floors for others.
It was a wonderful warm weekend at camp- still screen porch weather and probably the last one.
It was nice to see Paul this weekend and finally see his pictures of London, and how about posting a few here Paul so everyone can see them.
