Super Aguri F1 has been confirmed for 2006.

Bourdais has been confirmed for the Daytona 24 hours with Doran Racing. That car was fifth fastest in qualifying one.

Said has relanded a 24 hour ride after losing his original because he was too tall to fit in the car. He most likely "became" too tall after the car was adapted to hold Danica Patrick. His new ride is with Tuttle Racing.

Fifteen cars and sixteen drivers showed up to the Phoenix IRL test on Tuesday and Wednesday. The two Ganassi drivers followed by the two Penske drivers topped the charts, indicating the AGR Honda advantage is gone. Marco was 14th fastest. Scheckter shared a Vision ride, he is on the verge of signing with them, adding a second car to the team. Cheever, Panther, Hemelgarn, did not make an appearance. Each are struggling to field one car for next year. Fernandez had two cars, Matsuura in the Aguri ride, and Sharp with Delphi on the sidepods. That Delphi sponsorship is obviously very questionable. Rahal had three cars amoung the slowest five. Team Rahal and Scott Sharp wre the only ones driving Panoz chassis.

Porter Square birthplace of the Porter House Steak. I'm going to watch the Super Bowl tomorrow. No news on Two Dninjas. I'm writing a paper on snowmobile suspensions. Cyndy has been to Tulsa. The canadians had a big election today. Wilson Pickett died on the 19th. Problem with the Spitzer shirts is that they are ugly. Villeneuve topped the speed charts testing in Barcelona alongside his teammate and two new Mclarens today. Nascar is trying very hard to create something even uglier than their GrandAm car. New Swift Atlantic car will make it's track debut in early Feb, with mass distribution of cars beginning in March. Marco Andretti says AGR will be in Champ Car in 2007. Jackie Stewart is stepping down from the BRDC this spring. Did anyone notice the cool Watkins Glen poster hanging on my mantle, it has a six wheeled Tyrell. Cyndy fought town hall and won a visitor parking pass, so if anyone wants to come visit, they can park easily and safely. The local community group has extorted $50,000 from Harvard to plant trees. They have a panel of 8 self declared 'tree lovers', many professors from Lesley's environmental department. Did I mention Porter Square (where I live), is the birthplace of Porterhouse Steak. Still haven't gone to Seoul Food.

After a warm weekend we finnally have snow back. We built a snow fort and snowgirl, (named Curley by Megan) after school. Its still too warm though.

The falcon rises again after a retrofit at cloud city. Lego is totally out of the regular Star Wars kits so we can't add Luke and the X-wing fighter.

Oliver was saying "take me, take me , take me" Either he wants off this planet or he wanted his picture taken.

We decided to get out of the house and got to the mall for some bad air. Cameron did a little shoe shopping

Hi all,

Dad has been working all week with a bad cold so we've decided (or I've convinced him) to stay home and stay in all weekend. Of course he has already been to the bank this morning , but that's it, he must stay in. I have chicken soup started.

I haven't been writing because I have been reading. "Finding George Orwell in Burma" is a wonderful book in which a writer, using a psuedonym travels around following George Orwell's footsteps through beautiful Burma (almost a century ago he worked as a colonial policeman before he gave it up in disgust). Burma, now called Myanmar is in worse shape than it was under British rule. It is run by a brutal, military dictatorship akin to"Animal Farm". If anyone happens across a used copy of Orwell's novel "Burmese Days" please pick it up.

my apartment, Joel

I see Paul decided to edit his photo tour of the apartment. I was hoping for some pictures of the basement. There is a company in Albany selling anti eliot spitzer stuff www.fcbcapparel.com. You can get "eliot spitzer threatened me" stuff. My guess is at the very least the company will be tax audited this year. I saw this in the NY Post. The Troy Record had an article about a 20 year who died in a snowmobile accident in the town of Webb. They arrested the bartenders at the Wayback and the Glenmore for serving him alcohol earlier in the day. Looking forward to going to Daytona next week. Maybe Kate will even let me touch her new camera, doubtful though.

More snow, not too cold, saw moose outside my cabin, saw four wolves from afar (the first I've seen). Thursday and Friday I am headed down to Pinedale. Looks like I will get two tours of the natural gas fields down there from a couple companies that are currently drilling. Paul, the linen closet looks nice.

Dad and I rode to Reaver River today. It was 0 degrees outside. There were 50 sleds in the parking lot at noon. The conditions are marginal with only about 2" of snow last night. Wind is blowing a lot also. There is still a good base up here so it won't take too much snow to get things back to rideable. I took Cameron out to play earlier and we didn't last long even bundled up. Tongiht is mexican night, cowboy tacos, guacamole, and chicken quesadillas.

Brownsey Family
Jonathan started Basketball tonight with his first practice. The first game is 11am Saturday. The snow is going to start melting here too. We have a good base but it wont last with rain predicted. The usual here with school board, work, school, cub scouts, and dance...

When returning the Lionel transformer we picked up a Pennsylvania passenger car add on set.

Chris

(Paul and Cyndy, you are welcome to visit.)
I'm thinking of cancelling my stillwater trip this weekend because the stillwater webcam looks poor, and the weather looks worse. It is expected to rain with temps in the 40s until friday night when it will turn into snow. Unless anyone has heard better. I blame the terrorists.

Paul

p.s. the Indonesian round of the A1GP has been postponed until February 13 because the Dubai Emir died according to A1GP. However, reports from Indonesia indicate that the race was postponed because,of lack of sponsorship. The Indonesian public blocked an attempt by the government to force private mining companies to pay for the race. The track itself was built entirely using government funds. I believe the reason for the postponement is because Two Dninjas T-Shirts are currently on backorder and the sale of these shirts are what bankroll the series. An extra month was given for the shirts to be sent to Indonesia, once production is complete. The Laguna Seca race has now been officially confirmed as well and the Brazil race officially cancelled.

If anybody wants their Cub scout books and or shirts let Mom know within the next week. Otherwise they will be trash or donated.
Joel, I got the three tickets and three wrist bands for the race. I also sent Rob a check for the plane ticket. I will pay you for the race ticket when I see you. I will bring some Trustco mail you got also.
The temp in Albany is 40-42. The snow is slush and near gone. Cameron, Oliver and I rode snowmobiles and made a snowman yesterday.

Noah
School, yup. Apartment, yup. Camp, don't know yet. No news on two Dninjas. Home alone all week, no internet yet, very upsetting. No class Tuesday. Lots of time to set up the slot car track. Maine sometime? Made bread. Good enough, talk later, bye.

We are staying in Niskayuna this weekend. Mom had Connie Danko's daughter Christy's baby shower to go to and I gave blood. Roxena Swede stuck my arm and drew the blood. Now it is your turn! Monday I have to go to the dentist. Tonight we ordered pizza.

How do we form a snowmobile club? Are they trying to make the snowmobiles in the Adirondack Park go the way of the ATVs?

Tuesday, January 03, 2006

Well the holidays are over. We can all stop pretending to be nice to strangers again. The kids got another house full of toys.
There is about 4" of heavy wet snow here today but the temp is about 36 so it is compressing very quickly.
Pataki signed a new package of snowmobile laws for next year. Big changes are 55 mph speed limit. Children under 10 can only ride on property owned by their parents. Non-club memeber registration $100 per year. Fine for unregistered snowmobile $200.
The article says the registration all time high was 02-03 at 172,100. O3-04 was down to 158,500. I wonder what 06-07 will bring. I would have to guess down to 125,000 or less. Doesn't that mean there will be less money available to maintain trails?
