A Night To Remember

Super busy weekend. Lots of company lots of activities. I did the following had Fiat inspected, test drove 2010 Mini Cooper S, went to Valleycats game, went to car show, went to dance recital, ate lots of cake. Other people's weekend varied but with a similar theme. Huge group of people at the Valleycats game. They beat the Lowell Spinners (Red Sox single A)attendees were Mom, Dad, Paul, Cyndy, Christine, Chris, Jonathan, Megan, Cameron, Oliver, Elliot, Kate and myself.

Happy birthday to Joel!

Kate, Cameron, Elliot and I went to Hoffman's playland on saturday (Oliver was at a birthday party). Elliot rode the train, caterpillar and cars. Also Oliver had his last little league game for the year.

Went for a car ride Sunday to Chestertown, Warrensburg, Hadley, Lake Luzerne, and Saratoga. Saw the UHRR train at the station stop. Watched it switch the engine front to back for the return trip. Looked at the falls in Lake Luzerne. Unfortunatly Papa's Ice Cream is closed and for sale. Lots of people swimming at the public beach at the lake. Went to Saratoga and ate dough boys at Esperanto. Mingled with the Phish fans.

I made my first cheese today. The recipe was for ricotta, made from whole cow's milk (as opposed to whey, no more than three hours old, from sheep: not that easy to obtain).

Nascar B series from Road America Practice 1

Includes Fellows, Pat Long, Villeneuve, Braun, McDowell, and Morgan Shepherd in the Victory in Jesus Chevrolet. No rain predicted; the safety car should go less than half distance.

Irn-Bru, Scotland's 2nd national drink has front page attention in today's Wall Street Journal. Seems the UK wants them to change to a different orange dye, but die-hard lovers of the 109 year old drink like it just the way it is.
