Went to the NY agricultural show at the state fairgrounds in Syracuse. They had a lake effect snow storm about 6 inches of snow there. The kids climbed into lots of big tractors and combines. Kioti, Kubota, Massey, New Holland, Claas, LS, Oxbo, and Mahindra. Mostly focused on dairy. We had Maple sugar cotton candy.

Our chickens arrived on Wednesday afternoon. All four are blue Andalusians. They were pretty lethargic at first (they had been shipped overnight on the day they hatched), but within a few hours had perked right up.

Last night- as soon as everyone was gone- we got five inches of new snow.

The Whiskey Robber, Attila Ambrus, was released from prison last month after serving 12 years. While a notorious bank robber he also gave up 20+ goals in net in one professional hockey game. His story is so unbelievable it could never pass as fiction.

I returned from my annual snowmobile trip with friends this weekend. Here is a view of Katahdin.

We covered 410 miles on the sleds over two and a half days. Trails were the best ever with some more sleds on the trails due to little snow in the rest of the northeast.

We visited Shin Pond, Bowlin, Oxbow, Masardis, Ashland, Portage and Washburn. Portage and Washburn are in the middle of Aroostook County.
