Noah's November 21 post on how the US auto industry issues might play out missed the possibility that Fiat might come to Chrysler's aid. Perhaps this outcome was missed because it is likely to be a spectacularly bad idea.

Remember how GM's deal with Fiat ended? It cost GM a lot of money.
