Some pictures from Stillwater:

Smores

Really big ant hill in front of camp... but the ants got mad and took all there stuff with them before I got the camera.

For anybody hasn't seen the windmills on the Tug Hill over Lowville. Cyndy is standing in front of the door at the base of it to give you some scale. I'm standing about 200 ft away and lying on the ground but it's still too big to get the whole thing in. We are right next to the Flat Rock Inn, where there were some grass drags taking place.

A sign anticipating a Scenic Overlook on the Soft Maple dirt road.

The Scenic Overlook.

After Jonathan marched with the Cub Scouts in the Memorial day parade we went to a clam bake. Jonathan could barely reach the pedals but he did well. Guess what Jonathan wants now. Not to be left out Megan drove a golf cart with some help.

Pre school Friday. Megan is ready for kindergarten now.

Chris
Two Ndinjas had a strong race at Monaco this weekend finishing fifth, ahead of his teammate.

Also this weekend was GP2, F1, and Indy, eventful start, Schumacher was punished for being Schumacher, good finish, respectively. Watched the Speed World Challenge GT race from last weekend, where Johnny Mowlem finished a respectable 15th in the Autosport Designs Aston Martin DBRs9.

Went to camp, mosquitos Saturday, blackflies Sunday. Put the boat in the water. Saw Joe's dog, went to Super Wal Mart, the Windmills, and Croghan.

Don't tell anybody about the blog, because it is a secret, just like the rest of the internet. Also, don't tell anybody that they can easily comment if they want to.

Happy Birthday Noah wherever you are. We had the first warm day of the year today. The pool is only 67 though. Tomorrow morning I am going clam digging with the kids and then swimming at home. Monday Jonathan is marching in the parade with the cub scouts.

Megan has been bust lately. Last week was her recital. It was three hours long. Megan was only on stage for 10 minutes but she loved the whole show. Yesterday Megan 'graduated' from the pre school she has attended for the last three years. This is our last quiet weekend at home for a month so we are enjoying it.

Jonathan is busy with AA baseball.

Its sounds like everyone is busy. I can't even hike 50 miles. What can you get in Wyoming for the price of Stillwater?

Chris
We went on a fifty mile hike and saw a yellow-bellied marmot today.

Also, a lot of buffalo, elk, moose, pronghorn and sandhill cranes. Phil never wants us to leave.

Cameron started riding her big girl bike this week. She is very excited. I guess by law I should buy her a helmet now. Even though I never wore one when I was little.

Fried dough at the tulip festival in Albany. Saw the band They Might Be Giants.

Woke up, watched some Team Dyson embarassment sponsored by the American LeMans Series.

Then went to the grand prix cafe to watch the champ car race of Monterrey Mexico. We had a nice turkey and swiss panini with a rabbit food salad on the side. The sign next to the television said that you can ask if you want to view a sporting event on television, "Note, however, that motorsports events always take precident." So that was good.

Then we went home and I followed the "Bump Day" embarassment sponsored by the Indy Racing League, AJ Foyt, and Rothy Mart.

Cyndy and I are going to camp this weekend. We will be leaving from Oxford on Friday morning. I reserve the right to buy and print tickets online for Lime Rock on Monday, but with only 16 cars for the GT race, and the ST race being held on Saturday, it doesn't look like a great ticket.

I got the mail from Mom and Dad.

We found a bookstore for Mom and Dad to go to.

Two Ndinjas will be in action next weekend.

It's still raining here.

I've had enough sorting and packing. I m ready to follow Joel's method. Fill the car and leave.

On another note- we went to Aunt Jo's wake last night and then Dad took his mother to the funeral today. She is buried at the new National Cemetary in Saratoga. Dad enjoyed visiting with his cousins.

Anybody in Stillwater for Memorial Day weekend?

Paul
Aunt Jo died Sunday May 14 at Ellis Hospital after heart by-pass surgery in April. She was born June 10 1929 and was Grandma Brownsey's sister. She leaves behind her husband of 58 years Pete and her childern Stephen, Jean, Nancy and Peter. She has six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The funeral is Thursday at our Lady of Assumption Church in Latham and burial in Saratoga National Cemetery. Uncle Pete was in the U.S. Navy serving in WW II.

Went to Thai Food tonight and took a picture of the Taco Bell on the way there. Note that Cusine from Afghanistan is next door. Cusine from Afghanistan does have the picture of National Geographic girl framed on the wall. Also, next to Thai Food is the "Grand Prix Cafe," which I saw just recently opened, I figured it was just a stupid Cambridge expensive coffee place, but it turns out that it has a flat screen TV, that did have the Moto GP race on Speed Channel playing. Cyndy and I plan to make a desent on the cafe next sunday for the Champ Car race from Montterrey. As an added note, the Champ Car race at Houston was good. It had passing on a street course and Jon Beekhuis. However, the Atlantics race suffered because of the addition of the first chicane.

As you can see from the picture it had been raining and will keep raining here. Please look at the links to other blobs I have added to the sidebar.

Last weekend there were an estimated 1 million people along the Ft. Lauderdale beach for the annual Air & Sea Show. In action were NAVY ships, the new F-22 Raptor, F-14 Tomcat, F-15 Eagle, F-16 Falcon, F/A-18 Hornet, A-10 Warthog, AA 777, and numerous other other flying machines.

Joel
Nope, no joke. Here are some pictures. The last picture is from the first mile.

He wasn't even joking.

Here's Cyndy in a full size shipping container, not one of those cheater half sized ones. I tried to find Nuvera's annual report, but I found out it is a privately held company. Amerada Hess owns 53%, some European research company owns a big chunk and Renault owns the rest. I'm back in classes. I was able to get $300 worth of text books for $85. I'm going to buy a Mac Mini with the Intel chip sometime, so I can run windows and apple on the same computer. We had 10 tacos from taco bell tonight, and the drunk guy in line before us was trying to get a free burrito and he talked to us a lot while we waited. The taco bell here is the best ever because some exciting always happens there. There is always good entertainment up at the taco bell. Cyndy's last day of everything is tomorrow. Scott Atherton(ALMS/Panoz) released a statement saying he was not interested in having a role in Indy/Champ Car. The Grand Prix of Houston is sold out. 32 drivers are reported for the Indy 500, 28 have been on the track for the first two days of testing, qualifying starts Saturday. There will be 33 cars on the grid. Yuji Ide has lost his superlicence. Two Ndinjas is back in action... He is driving for Victory Engineering in the World Series by Renault(a spec european open-wheel series). The first event of the season was at Zolder. He placed 24(of 28) in the first race after hitting Sean McIntosh of Canada on the final lap while fighting for seventh and he did not finish the second race for an unexplained reason. The next race is in Monaco with F1 on Memorial Day weekend.

Congratulations, dad! Who is your new boss?

I ran the Ogden, Utah half marathon on Saturday and came in 20th out of 625 overall and second in my division (men aged 25 to 29). I will try again in June on a tougher course in the Jackson, Wyoming half marathon.

--Philip
Today was the day I earned maximum allowed under ss rules and my last day working for Mobile Air Transport. So I am officially retired and have a new boss.

Jonathan rode one of the Scarborough fire trucks to school, Friday. They picked him up right in our driveway. All his friends got to see him arrive at school. To explain, a friend of ours bid and won a ride in a charity auction and gave it to us.

Of course Jonathan loved it. They even stopped at the fire house on the way.

Also Little League started today. Jonathan's team won. I'm an assistant coach. For the third year Jonathan is sponsored by an car business, Moody's Collision Center.
