Existential questions

If cars race in Kansas and no one hears them, do they make a sound? United Sports Car announces television schedule. Rumor is there will be no online streaming or MRN coverage either. I wonder how sponsors feel about this.

The sponsors for both those classes are the drivers and team owners. They are probably more offended about racing on an uninspired track in front of a few hundred people. Depending on how they feel about championship points they will or won't show up. It would have made more sense to put them at Road Atlanta, Watkins Glen, or Sebring as a stand alone race so at least they can sell drivers on a good track to drive at or just look at it as free test weekend.

If they really wanted to have fun instead of having LMPC and Lites having a combined race at Kansas have LMPC join the Nationwide series race at Road America in June. Or have Nationwide run the oval at Kansas and LMPC/Lites run the roval.

Faced with criticism, it seems that IMSA is making real efforts to be responsive to the concerns of fans with additions to the MRN broadcasting crew and whatever this may be: "Race fans: Your series, your track, and, soon, your choice. You'll want to see this: http://youtu.be/mCHfIVySsaQ #FansChoiceTV"
