Studying the photo and refering to http://www.racingsportscars.com/ I would lean towards that being a Ferrari dino. The vertical rear glass rules out GT-40, Porsche, Chaparral, Lola but a few other posibilities exist.
Negative, there was no Dino at Daytona in 1966. They raced from Sebring on. Can't be the 330 but maybe the NART 365 with Mario Andretti and Pedro Rodriguez.

If the photo was dated Dec. '66 I assumed this was from the '67 Daytona race.
