I just got a phone call from my Dad- due to increased gas prices and increased car and health insurance costs he is cancelling his visit this summer. I am very disappointed- I look forward to his annual visits.

Mother's Lunch at Cameron's school on March 29th.

Weekend was almost a washout in Albany. Heavy rain both days. Chris and Megan visited and helped clean out the blue house and helped me move some big items. Megan slept at our house saturday night. It was Cameron's first sleepover.
We had some roof repairs done at our house last week and the whole garage roof was replaced. We are having some painting done to the garage and house this week.
The Daytona prototype race was pretty good a VIR today. Track seemed a little narrow when there was a big pack. It was rough early when the cars were bunched. End was good, last lap action. Alex Job racing got a win with a great late pass. The Grand Am cup race will be on next weekend. It was run in the race. I guess it was a big mess from start to finish.
Kenny Tremont won the Malta 100 lap opener friday.

This is school vacation week so I took the afternoon off to see the Sea Dogs. It was a good day for a game except for the score. We had great seats and stayed for all 9 innings. Unfortunately the Sea Dogs lost 7 to 3 and it was not even that close. A Sea Dogs runner was picked off 3rd 3 times. Slugger visited Megan a bunch of times.

Ryan Moore of Scarborough is driving the #81 Busch car at Phoenix for a one race deal. Anthony Foyt was released.

Cyndy and I went to the marathon dealy... here is Cyndy.
The guy running won the race. This is about half a block before the finish line. We only got to the race about 2 minutes before the guy went by, so we had an obscured view. It's also really hard to tell what's going on because unlike racecars they don't make noise. You have to stand there and think 'is that the runner guy,' and then realize that it's a guy on a Piaggio, not a runner guy. This guy however, is a the runner guy and the jerk with the arm is obscuring a whole bunch of Kenyan fans on the other side of the street who were cool.

Happy Easter from Stillwater. I hope you all have a fine day and spend a few minutes thinking about the Resurrection. Dad and I went to the Inlet Community Church this morning. It is very small, had a nice service.

I am marinating lamb chops for our Easter dinner.

Last evening we saw the 1st 3 loons of the season.

Happy Easter! We are getting ready for the Easter Bunny's visit. Tomorrow is church and a ham dinner here. The weather has been great. Last weekend Jonathan and I went with the cub scouts over night to Higgins Armory in Worcester. Its a museum of knights armor from the middle ages.

I'm back and so is Barbara. I was thinking about how much trouble I would be in if I lost her. We had a tremendously good time. Mexico is a very nice country- good food, scenery, ancient ruins, and nice people. It wasn't as poor as I expected. I met some swell people- one young couple from Paris was traveling with HIS mother- what are the chances of that happening to me? And one older fellow, who used to live in Arizona, but now lives in a motor home in San Carlos, Mexico reminded me of my Dad. I saw an enormous Volkswagon factory in Pueblo and lots of plowing with donkeys. All the young Mexican woman dress just like Cyndy and Barbara.

On a sadder note- on April 4th, Aunt Jo had bypass surgery at Ellis hospital. It seemed to go fine, until Friday she went into a coma and the doctors haven't been able to figure out why or what to do about it.That's 4 days she's been unconscious.

Todd Bodine is racing in a Corvette in Speed GT at Long Beach this weekend. The Aston Martins are not racing in this event.

The Times Union reported today that Maynard Forrette passed away at his home in Perth. He was 69 years old.

Champ Car Atlantic will be broadcast live at www.champcaratlantic.com at 1:35 EST on Sunday, Speed will air the race the following week. Simon Pagenaud has the provisional pole... he is a French guy driving for walker, seabass helped him get the ride because he is French. Seabass is of course on the provisional pole for the CC race. Vasser got in the wall at the end of Q1 followed by PT. Dan Clarke with CTE racing(which has a really cool livery) impressed in his debut. Pizzonia 'had trouble with downshifts since he hasn't had to shift in three years,' and did poorly. The Champ Car field is very deep, and has no Speraficos. This is the best collection of drivers that American open wheel has seen in awhile. 29 Atlantic cars answered the bell at Q1 this weekend.

Also, I built a remote control in my electrical engineering lab that was able to operate from 148' away. That broke the exisiting record(this is the 4th semester this spec has existed). Last semester had a farthest distance of 99', and this year another group went 107'(Electrical majors). As reward my lab partner and I will get digital multimeters and our photos taken with our design. It was quite and exciting day. I'll post that photo as soon as I get it.

Massachusetts is working on making a law that says all residents must have health insurance. If you cannot afford it you can get government assitance. If you can afford it and choose not to, you would pay a penalty. I thought liberals didn't like to support "big corporations". Looks to me like health insurance companies are going to win big.
The new Grassroots issue is out. It is one of the best in a while. It is worth picking up.
I bought 20 cases of Pepsi today, through a deal with work. It was really cheap. I will send a few cases up to camp.
