I just got a phone call from my Dad- due to increased gas prices and increased car and health insurance costs he is cancelling his visit this summer. I am very disappointed- I look forward to his annual visits.
It's the media's fault. They are always scaring the old people. Lazy journalism is no reason to cancel a trip. Hopefully, they will run out of b-roll footage of gas pumps, and prices will return to dirt cheap rather than just cheap.
